Self-fulfilling prophecy

Self-fulfilling prophecy is a statement that influence/ change your actions based on your perception toward yourself or how people perceive you and therefore it tend to comes true.

For example, a person stating "I'm probably going to fail my Public Speaking", this attitude or thinking will influence him/ her and in the end he/ she really fail in this paper.

If a person thinks we are clever or stupid or whatever, they will treat us that way. I we are treated as if we are clever, stupid or whatever, we will act, and even become this way.

Implicit personality theory

Implicit personality theory refers to general expectations that we build about a person after we know about their traits.

For example, we believe that a happy person is also friendly; or quiet person are shy.
